New OCG Game Field with Pendulum Zone

The Pendulum Zones (Ｐペンデュラムゾーン or ペンデュラムゾーン, Pendeyuramuzōn) are two new Card zones that will be introduced into the game alongside Pendulum Monsters. The Left Pendulum Zone, colored blue, is located in between the Field Spell Card Zone and the Extra Deck Zone. The Right Pendulum Zone, colored red, is located in between the Graveyard Zone and the Deck Zone.

When a Pendulum Monster is placed into a Pendulum Zone, it is treated as activating a Spell Card, and its Pendulum effect is applied rather than its monster effect. A Pendulum Monster cannot be Set in a Pendulum Zone. Also, since Pendulum Monsters in Pendulum Zones are treated as Spell Cards, they can be affected by effects that affect Spell Cards like "Mystical Space Typhoon", but not by effects that affect monsters like "Dark Hole". If a Pendulum Monster would be sent from the Pendulum Zone to the Graveyard, it is instead placed face-up in the Extra Deck Zone.

The zone a Pendulum Monster is placed in determines which of its Pendulum Scales will be applied during a Pendulum Summon. If a Pendulum Monster is placed in the Left/Blue Zone, the Left Pendulum Scale on the Pendulum Monster will be applied (located beside the same blue arrow symbol that is also seen on the corresponding Pendulum Zone). Likewise, if it is placed in the Right/Red Zone, the Right Pendulum Scale on the Pendulum Monster will be applied.
